The Westchester Roots
Our journey began when the first generation of our family opened an independent Montessori school in Miami’s Westchester neighborhood. For more than 30 years that campus set the tone for hands‑on learning, community service, and a love‑of‑learning ethos that still defines us today
2019
Incorporation of
Sacred Heart Montessori
Determined to carry the torch forward, second‑generation educator Mrs. Darlene formalized the vision under a new banner—Sacred Heart Montessori

January 2020 – Kings Creek Campus Opens

Across both locations we serve children 3 months – 5 years with the same commitment to mixed‑age classrooms, Montessori materials, and an environment where “kids love to learn and learn to love.” Our family‑run leadership ensures the original Westchester spirit remains at the heart of every lesson
A Bright Future Ahead
As we approach our fourth decade of Montessori education, Sacred Heart continues to:
- Invest in staff development to keep teaching practices aligned with current Montessori research.
- Expand scholarship and VPK/School Readiness offerings so a Montessori experience is accessible to more Miami families.
- Upgrade learning environments at both campuses with natural materials, outdoor classrooms, and family engagement spaces.
