Our History

Our Montessori has Grown in Miami

From a single classroom in Westchester to two vibrant Miami‑area campuses, Sacred Heart Montessori’s history is a family legacy more than three decades in the making.

Our Growth

1989
The Westchester Roots

Our journey began when the first generation of our family opened an independent Montessori school in Miami’s Westchester neighborhood. For more than 30 years that campus set the tone for hands‑on learning, community service, and a love‑of‑learning ethos that still defines us today

2019
 Incorporation of Sacred Heart Montessori

Determined to carry the torch forward, second‑generation educator Mrs. Darlene formalized the vision under a new banner—Sacred Heart Montessori

2020
January 2020 – Kings Creek Campus Opens

Within months, our first campus at 8040 SW 81st Drive welcomed infants through Prek4 into bright, oversized classrooms and expansive patios designed for purposeful independence

2022
 Flagler Campus Launches

Growing demand led us west along the Palmetto Expressway to the Flagler neighborhood. The Flagler campus at 481 Grand Canal Drive, a newly renovated space near the Palmetto, now mirrors the Kings Creek environment and expands enrollment capacity for local families

Present– Two Campuses,
One Mission

Across both locations we serve children 3 months – 5 years with the same commitment to mixed‑age classrooms, Montessori materials, and an environment where “kids love to learn and learn to love.” Our family‑run leadership ensures the original Westchester spirit remains at the heart of every lesson

A Bright Future Ahead
